The FN 303 is a semi-automatic less-than-lethal riot shotgun that is designed and manufactured by French firearms manufacturer Fabrique Nationale de Herstal. Designed for non-lethal means, the FN 303 uses projectiles that break on impact to reduce the risk of penetration and death, as it is mostly used for riots and domestic violence intervention.

• The FN 303 that appears in the Ellsworth Penitentiary level in Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Version 1) uses a 7-round magazine, while standard round count is 15-rounds.
• This is the one of three weapons in the Splinter Cell series that only appears in one level available for the player to use. (The other are the 9mm pistol from Version 2 and the M32 Assault rifle from Essentials.)
